The staff did not bother to apologize and just brush off as misunderstanding. Then when i asked is it my fault, one of them can even answer YES. I even repeated my question to double confirm. A number of pretty and challenging holes, the caddies are pleasant and knowledgeable. Worth getting there for breakfast, wait until others have gone out, and take a leisurely spin round. I'm sure that when it was brand new the clubhouse as fantastic but as it stands it is in serious need of a revamp and renewal. Read our transparency report to learn 2017 • FriendsWe have been to Batam for golf on numerous occasions and Tering Bay Golf and Country Club is fast becoming our were there last week 13 Dec 2017 and we were very pleasantly surprised by the good fairways and greens condition as it had been raining relentlessly lately. Buggies were allowed onto the fairways which meant fairways were firm and well drained. This is important to us as we are retirees and mobility is not our the reception to the going-home, we were in good hands and felt very welcome. Management was keen in drawing the crowd and offered good value-for-money and attractive promotions. TeringBay Golf and Countru Club was designed by Greg Norman and opened to the public in 1995, Tering Bay Golf & Country Club extends for 6,200 meters. The Tering Bay golf course has a challenging landscape design. Lush plants, hilly contours and bunkers in difficult positions make the golfer must apply some special strategies in order to pass
Another of the finest courses on the island & ideally situated on the North East coast of Batam Island at Nongsa lies the Tering Bay Golf & Country Club. On your arrival you will be greeted by the pleasant staff who will allocate a caddy & take care of your clubs immediately whilst you get changed in the well equipped changing rooms. The view from the clubhouse is spectacular over the rolling course down to the sea. Former number one Greg Norman designed the Tering Bay course, it is a very beautiful and playable 18 hole par 72 course set amidst hills, lakes and lush tropical greenery. Looking at the score card, especially from the white tees boxes with only 5491 meters the course seems awfully short – don’t let that, however make you overconfident. Along the way you will find out that playing this course requires concentration at all times. The par 5 second, par 4 fifth, par 5 eleventh, par 3 fifteenth and the par 4 sixteenth feature tricky water hazards. Especially on holes 5 and 15, these water hazards are coming into play from the tee box. Hole 9 is the stroke index I hole, while the closing hole on the back nine, a 400 metre uphill par 4 is the second most difficult hole on the curse. The course is the centrepiece of the Tering Bay Golf Country Club on a site of over 160 hectares overlooking the waters of north Batam. The design brief was to ensure the Tering Bay golf course would be a fair and enjoyable test for golfers of all levels as well as stern tests for the professionals. In Greg Normans words … “Playing the Tering Bay Golf & Country Club will be a breathtaking experience for golfers of all abilities. I have designed some heroic, go for it’ shots across many of the water hazards. Very friendly on arrival, very helpful, the course was in really good shape, challenging but enjoyable. The value for a round including buggy and caddy was excellent, and the caddies are very helpful. Great but challenging course, Daicha the Caddie was excellent.
